Association for Equality and Excellence in Education
Our goal is to increase the educational and success opportunities for low-income and first-generation college students through professional development, legislative advocacy and community engagement.
Founded in 1976, the Association for Equality and Excellence in Education (AEEE) is a nonprofit organization that serves low-income, first-generation students, veterans, and students with disabilities in New York and New Jersey. AEEE collaborates with colleges, universities, and TRIO programs to help low-income students enter and graduate from college.
Annually, our 142 member colleges and agencies provide college access and retention services to over 33,000 low-income students and students with disabilities. AEEE brings together TRIO program professionals, educators, and advocates for the educational and cultural development of underrepresented and underserved populations in the region. We offer professional development, support, scholarships, and more to program personnel, individuals, and students.
